Soap Care Guide

We only use the finest ingredients with a lot of hard oils and butters, however handmade cold processed soap, if not taken care of properly can be prone to the dreaded “sludge”.  You should be draining your soap in between use.  Place your soap in a well-drained soap dish and it will make a world of difference.   Do not leave your soap sitting in water.  Your bar will last longer and remain harder.

LOVINGLY HAND POURED IN OUR STUDIO IN GRANDE POINTE, manitoba.

Beeswax Candles - potential cover page #1.jpg

Our Premium Beeswax candles are 100% pure with cotton braided wick and are lovingly hand poured in our studio in Grande Pointe.  Some of the wax is from our own hives with the remainder from other local Manitoba apiarists.  Our candles provide comfort, warmth and a sense of well-being.

Beeswax is one of the cleanest waxes, with the brightest flame, exuding a soft honey aroma with exceptional burn time. It is a sustainable, renewable resource.  Beeswax emits negative ions which when burned can assist in cleaning the air of dust, mold, pollen, pet dander, smoke and odours.

Please read our Candle Usage Guide below before purchasing and burning our candles.

Never leave a burning candle unattended, near children or pets.  Always burn in a draft free room on a heat safe plate or surface.  Trim the wick before each burn.   As the candle burns down, gently thumb the edges inwards in order to contain the wax pool.  When extinguishing, press the wick into the melt pool or use a candle snuffer.

When you see a whitish patina on you candle, no worries.  This is called bloom and is the natural elevation of the minerals within the wax to the surface.   It can be wiped away with any good quality lint free cloth, or give it a very quick blast with your hair dryer or heat gun.

Our candles are hand poured in our studio and made with pure coconut soy wax blend and scented with premium fragrance oil.  Our candles are paraffin and phthalate free.

Our candles come in heavy cut glass tumblers holding 250 grams / 8 ½ oz of wax with a polished stone atop.  Once the candles are finished the cut glass tumblers can be re-used as drinking glasses, just remove the wick tab and wash in hot, soapy water. From time to time , we also have special edition candles in exquisite vessels, ranging in size from 250 grams to 1.2 kilograms of wax.

Our candles come with either a premium wood wick or cottonwood wick.  Our wood wicks are made from natural responsibly harvested soft wood.  Cotton Wood Wicks are lead free braided flat wicks made of  natural fiber.

Please read our Coconut Soy Wax Blend Candle Usage Guide below before purchasing and burning our candles.

For best results ensure you burn for at least 2 hours to ensure you reach a full melt pool.  Never leave a burning candle unattended, near children or pets.  Always burn in a draft free room on a heat safe plate or surface.  Trim the wick before each burn.  For wood wicks they can be a little finicky.  Ensure they are always trimmed.  When extinguishing, for cottonwood wicks press the wick into the melt pool or use a candle snuffer for both the cottonwood wick and wood wick.

Beeswax wrap care

Beeswax wraps have a shelf life of 10 months to a year.   They are not to be used to wrap meat.   Wash your wraps under cool soapy water, applying light pressure, then rinse with clean, cool water.  If you use hot water, it will eventually remove the beeswax and reduce the life of your wrap.  Air dry.  Do not put in the dishwasher, microwave, oven or any other hot surface.

To use your wrap, you activate it with the warmth of your hands to help shape and seal around your container or the food itself.  If covering a container, make sure that the container is not hot and that the wrap fits down past the edge.
